Ministries at Shiloh Baptist Church

Missions

Missions is an integral part of what Shiloh Baptist Church stands for.  The church exist to help proclaim the name of the Lord throughout the world – starting here in Monroe, extending through North Carolina, our nation and ultimately our world.  We base our strategy on Jeremiah 29:7 – “But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.”

https://heartformonroe.comIn seeking the welfare of our city begins with partnering with Heart for Monroe.  One of our philosophies is why try to reinvent the wheel and duplicate what others are already doing well.  We support this ministry with our finances and our service.  We encourage our members to serve in their clothes closet, food distribution, and various volunteer opportunities throughout the schools.

Our pastor also has a passion to fulfill the command found in James 1:27 to care for the widows and orphans.  As a result, Shiloh has recently made a covenant with the North Carolina Baptist Children’s Homes to financially support and serve through their ministries throughout the year.

Finally, beginning this summer we will be partnering with Jungle Medic Mission in Rio Dulce, Guatemala to help serve through ministries in the jungle communities around Rio Dulce.
