Shiloh is a missional church. We are a church body that strives to be faithful to our Lord’s Great Commission and believe that we need not only preach the gospel but live out the gospel by showing the world the love of Christ.
Girls in Action® (GA®) is a missions discipleship organization for girls. Every girl in grades 1–6 can be a part of GA! Through GA, girls learn about, pray for, give to, and do missions work. They also make new friends and have lots of fun! The GAs meet on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm.
Royal Ambassadors (RAs) is a Southern Baptist mission education organization for boys in grades 1-6. RAs provides an opportunity for boys to develop Christian character through missions involvement and virtue commitments, in addition to growing spiritually, physically, mentally, and in relationships with others. Royal Ambassadors leaders utilize activities that are designed to help boys learn about God’s mission, participate in on-mission experiences, pray for and give to missions, develop and use mission skills, and learn about and support the missions work of their church and denomination. The RAs meet on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm.
How young can a child be and still learn Christian missions concepts? The preschool years. From babies to kindergartners, Mission Friends provides the building blocks of faith and a basic awareness of God’s love for all people. Mission Friends meet on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm.
NC Baptist Men help Christians share the love of Jesus by praying, giving and becoming involved in missions with their time and talents. NC Baptist Men strives to make North Carolina Baptists aware of human needs and provide opportunities to help meet needs and share the Gospel. Our Baptist Men led a mission trip to Haiti February of 2011 to help with construction after the recent earthquake.
Moreover, our Baptist Men, missions program, strives to minister to folks in our local community by building wheelchair ramps, or other home construction projects.
They meet the fourth Wednesday night at 6:45 p.m. each month.
Women’s Missionary Union
As the old saying goes, “Behind every great man, there is a great woman.” Well, here at Shiloh we feel that behind this great church is a great group of women. Whether you are new to Woman’s Missionary Union or have been involved for decades, WMU is great for learning about, doing and living missions. We offer a wide variety of hands-on mission and ministry opportunities as well as opportunities for friendship, spiritual growth and leadership development. There’s a place for you in WMU! Our WMU, missions program, meets the fourth Wednesday night at 6:45 p.m. each month and are involved in many missions projects. There are also monthly circle groups that meet as well.
